Raspberry pi camera Module Pi Board REV 1.3 5MP
The Raspberry Pi camera is attached via one of the small sockets on the top surface of the board. The dedicated CSi interface is specifically designed to interface cameras.

The camera is supported by the latest version of Raspbian, the preferred operating system for the Raspberry Pi camera.
To capture beautiful shots with your raspberry, the new official Camera v2 module is equipped with a Sony IMX219 fixed focus sensor, for a high native resolution of 8 Megapixels!
Practical for time-lapse activities, motion detection or security camera, the module easily connects via the supplied ribbon cable to the Raspberry CSI port and is capable of managing a photo resolution of 3280 x 2464 pixels and 1080p30, 720p60 and 640x480p90 in video.
